This 3 day Meghalaya tour is made for travellers with a short break. You leave Guwahati, stop at Umiam Lake on the way to Shillong, and spend a full day on the Cherrapunji plateau with its waterfalls and limestone caves.
The pace is relaxed and the driving is short. Shillong is about 100 km (3 hours) from Guwahati and Cherrapunji is around 55 km (2 hours) from Shillong. No permit is needed for Indian tourists. October to May gives the clearest views, and June to September gives the strongest waterfalls with some travel delays.

Day-by-Day Itinerary (3 Days)
Meet our driver at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and drive to Shillong. Stop at Umiam Lake for photos. Check in, then visit Ward's Lake and Police Bazaar in the evening. Overnight in Shillong.
After breakfast drive to Cherrapunji. Visit Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls viewpoint and the Eco Park. Return to Shillong in the evening. Overnight in Shillong.
After breakfast visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak. Check out and drive back to Guwahati. Drop at the Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
