This 4 day Meghalaya tour covers the four places most visitors come for: Shillong, Cherrapunji, Dawki and Mawlynnong. It is a good balance for first timers who want the main sights without rushing.
You spend two nights in Shillong and one night near Cherrapunji or Dawki, depending on the season and road conditions. The Umngot River at Dawki is clearest from November to April. Mawlynnong is a Khasi village known for its cleanliness and its living root bridge. No permit is needed for Indian tourists.

Day-by-Day Itinerary (4 Days)
Meet our driver at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and drive to Shillong. Stop at Umiam Lake. Check in and spend the evening at Police Bazaar. Overnight in Shillong.
After breakfast visit Elephant Falls, then drive to Cherrapunji. See Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Cave and the Seven Sisters Falls viewpoint. Overnight in Cherrapunji or return to Shillong.
Drive to Dawki and enjoy a boat ride on the Umngot River. Visit the border viewpoint, then continue to Mawlynnong to walk through the village and see the living root bridge. Return to Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.
After breakfast visit Shillong Peak and the Don Bosco Museum if time permits. Drive to Guwahati and drop at the Airport or Railway Station.
