North Sikkim Lachung Tour — 6 Days / 5 Nights Overview
This 6 day tour goes beyond Gangtok into North Sikkim. You drive up the Teesta valley to Lachung, a village at about 9,600 feet, and visit Yumthang Valley, known for its rhododendrons in spring, and Zero Point, which has snow for much of the year.
North Sikkim needs permits and road conditions can change quickly with weather, so we keep a buffer in the plan. Altitude can cause headaches, so a slow pace and plenty of water matter. Facilities in Lachung are simple. March to June and October to November are the best months, and Zero Point may be closed in heavy snow or rain.

Meet our driver at Bagdogra Airport or NJP station and drive to Gangtok, about 4 to 5 hours. Check in and rest. Overnight in Gangtok.
After an early breakfast drive to Lachung via Mangan and Chungthang, about 6 to 7 hours, stopping at waterfalls on the way. Check in and rest. Overnight in Lachung.
Drive to Yumthang Valley and, weather permitting, continue to Zero Point. Visit the hot spring and return to Lachung. Overnight in Lachung.
After breakfast drive back to Gangtok via Mangan. Check in and rest. Overnight in Gangtok.
Visit Enchey Monastery, Tashi Viewpoint, Rumtek Monastery and MG Marg. Overnight in Gangtok.
After breakfast check out and drive to Bagdogra Airport or NJP station for your onward journey.
